Setting the Scene – My Trip to Israel
Posted: September 15, 2011 Filed under: Uncategorized 2 Comments »Despite it being one of the most exciting and vibrant places on earth, people are often surprised when I tell them I’m going to Israel on holiday.
There are countless reasons to visit Israel. There’s incredible history everywhere you go, the people are inspirational, there are countless religious sites, the food is exceptional, the scenery is magnificent and there’s so so so much to do. For a country the size of Wales, the diversity is incredible.
Israel is full of surprises. Many people don’t know that Israel is leading the way in a lot of new technologies. Mobile phone and laptop technology was developed there. No wonder Google have a massive headquarters there.
Visiting Google’s HQ is a good enough reason to go to Israel in my book. Add in a meeting with David Horowitz – editor of the Jerusalem Post, the Tel Aviv nightlife and meetings with Israel’s soldiers and it’s shaping up to be an epic 5 days.
That’s right, I’m going back to Israel. My first trip consisted of seeing mainly religious sites which are of importance to Jews and Christians. This time the itinerary is completely different. I can’t wait to see a different side to Israel. I don’t want to give away too many details yet as I’ll be live blogging throughout the trip, so will inform you on what I’m up to as it happens. For now, let’s just say there are going to be plenty of surprises.
Click on the Email Subscription button over there >>>^^^ to get an email every time I post something new. I’m taking a camera, so there’ll be pictures as well as words. I may even film a video or two if I’m feeling particularly adventurous.
Finally, I want to say a massive thank you to Israel Connect for inviting me to come on the trip and for putting together an amazing itinerary. I’m going very much with my Christian Friends of Israel / Isrelate.com hat on (not literally, don’t worry) and am overjoyed that CFI agreed to send me on the trip.
Hope you enjoy my future posts, I’m looking forward to keeping you all updated.

Looking forward to following the fun, Sam.
